I think if you pick one of the things you want you could find good alternatives, but hitting all those points, that's where LR shines and part of the reason it's as popular as it is. ![]() It's a pretty powerful DAM that is accessible to users and has a pretty usable RAW processor built in, and it does a good job with Pano/HDR merges. LR is not the best RAW processor (don't want to get into fights about what is the best, but let's just say C1 Pro is often considered much better), It's not the most powerful DAM (enterprise level DAMs like NetX or even something like Extensis Portfolio will be a lot more powerful, but pricey and more complex), it's not the most user friendly DAM (an AI based google photos image search might not be super powerful but it's stupid easy), it's not the most powerful HDR/Pano option (PTIGUI may have more options).īut LR Classic is probably the best Jack of all trades in those respects.
